HIGHETT BULLDOGS   BASKETBALL CLUB  

A committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting to manage the running of the club for the following year.

The main responsibilities of the Committee are as follows.

• Ensure the clubs constitution, policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Appoint Coaches and Team Managers.

• Arrange training venues.

• Distribution and ordering uniforms and merchandise.

• Registering teams.

• Ensure registration fees are collected and accounts are paid.

• Liasing with the Sandringham (& McKinnon) Basketball Accociation.

• Organising social events and fund raising activities.

• Arrange end of season presentation nights and purchase of trophies.

• Produce an annual report and conduct regular meetings and Annual General Meeting.

The Annual General meeting is held yearly at the end off the Summer season - usually at the presentation day.

The AGM comprises.

• Presentation of the President's annual report.

• Presentation of the Treasurer's annual report and financial statement.

• Election of the committee for the next twelve months.

• General business.
